St John Fisher College senior Allison
Boehm (Sacred Heart/Cheektowaga) has
been selected as an ESPN The Magazine
District 1 First Team Academic All-American.
Boehm, a Management major with a
concentration in Human Resources, holds a
3.38 grade point average, and will advance
for selection to the national Academic
All-America team beginning Tuesday, February
12.
The 5-11 guard/forward has paced the
Cardinals to an 11-9 overall record this
season, and leads her team, and the Empire 8
Conference in scoring (18.8 ppg), and
rebounding (9.7 rpg). She also ranks second
in the Conference with a 38.8% 3-point
shooting percentage (38-of-98).
Boehm has tallied nine double-doubles
in 20 starts for Fisher this season,
including career-highs in points (30 vs.
Nazareth College 1/15/08) and assists (10
vs. Hartwick College 1/25/08) in two wins
for the Cardinals.
With 958 career points, Boehm
currently ranks 22nd on Fisher’s All-Time
scoring list, and is on pace to become the
19th player in the 34-year history of the
program to break the 1,000-point barrier.
