Girls AAU basketball teams in this district generally start competing after the HS season ends in March. Tournaments are available almost every weekend until late July. There are also a few September and October events. Fees vary from team to team depending on the number of tournaments, cost of practice facilities and many other factors. Additional Benefit AAU membership for a player is $14. For a team to be enrolled for AB coverage, all players on the team must be AB enrolled. There is a wide variety in the competitive levels of AAU teams. Some teams are casual, some are seriously competing at the highest level they can.
